Inmate Grievance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inmate Grievance Officer to join our team at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. As an Inmate Grievance Officer, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving inmate complaints in a fair and timely manner.

• Investigate and resolve inmate complaints in accordance with TDCJ policies and procedures.
• Conduct thorough and impartial investigations to determine the validity of inmate complaints.
• Make recommendations for resolution of inmate complaints, including disciplinary action when necessary.
• Collaborate with other TDCJ staff to ensure that inmate complaints are addressed in a timely and effective manner.

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
• Three years full-time, wage-earning criminal justice, clerical, administrative support, or technical program support experience.
• Investigative experience preferred.

As an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member), you will receive a salary of $3,349.20.
