Job Title: Peer Support Specialist

At RH Community Builders, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing peer-to-peer support services to individuals and their families who receive behavioral health services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide peer support and self-help services to clients and their family members in individual or group settings.
  • Assist in coordinating clinical services, provide linkage to other services and resources, and monitor, support, and empower clients and family members.
  • Assist in the development and coordination of activities, programs, and resources that support clients and family members in achieving wellness and recovery goals.
  • Provide skill training to clients and family members on tasks related to recovery-focused independent living.
  • Assist and advocate for clients and family members as they navigate through the system of care.
Requirements:
  • Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification is preferred.
  • Must maintain State Certification/Licensure or be in the process of obtaining Certification/License.
  • Registered Substance Abuse certification is required.
  • Knowledge of basic recovery and wellness concepts and behavioral health services.
  • Knowledge of public and private agency services and resources available for clients and family members.
  • Ability to operate a computer in the completion of assignments.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to effectively educate and assist clients and family members within the behavioral health system and community.
