The Grocery Operations Supervisor at Belfast Community Co-op plays a vital role in managing sales floor activities, assigning responsibilities to grocery staff, and ensuring outstanding customer service. This full-time role necessitates working one weekend shift per week and is primarily focused on morning and daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate daily operations to meet objectives set by management
- Assign tasks to grocery staff and oversee their execution
- Provide daily guidance to the grocery team
- Ensure team members are held accountable to performance standards and offer constructive feedback
- Set a positive example alongside grocery staff to meet departmental targets
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Communicate in a clear and respectful manner
- Work effectively and safely as part of a team
- Maintain a positive and proactive attitude
- Engage in continuous learning and skill development related to the role
- Preferred: Experience in a warehouse or stocking environment
- Minimum: Basic arithmetic skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a busy setting
