About the Role:

The Assistant Property Manager will assist the Community Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting in the training and development of the team
  • Reviewing daily rent recommendations and identifying opportunities to maximize income
  • Collecting current and delinquent rent in accordance with company and property policy
  • Implementing timely legal action, including court appearances
  • Posting invoices and using purchase orders
  • Coding invoices with correct General Ledger (GL) coding
  • Submitting security deposit reconciliation timely
  • Reviewing move in and move out files for thorough and accurate completion
  • Verifying information is timely and accurately entered into the property software system
  • Completing or verifying completion of accurate and timely weekly reports
  • Reviewing monthly financial reports with the property manager
  • Assisting in completing variance reports
  • Assisting the Community Manager in resolving resident and prospective resident conflicts
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Related property management experience with the ability to pass a fair housing exam
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of operations software used at the property level, including Yardi, CRM, and Rent Cafe
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Current driver's license and auto insurance
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as job requires

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a 401(K) match, rental incentive, and renewal compensation, bonuses, and rental discounts depending on location. Regular full-time employees who work between 30-40 hours a week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, other voluntary benefits, and vacation accrual. Sick time accrual is provided in accordance with law.
