Project Manager Senior Specialist

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager Senior Specialist to join our Global Operations team in the US. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of programs and projects that cover internal high-profile projects, compliance activities related to Internal Audit and Information Security, financial management, internal customer relationship management, and other crucial programs and projects that ensure the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, supervise, and lead projects from initiation through to delivery and support within projects.
  • Utilize resources and use formal processes and tools to handle resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
  • Ensure deliverables meet requirements, internal and external collaborators are satisfied, and it meets the project plan's obligations regarding specifications, quality, costs, and timeframes.
  • Drive programs of work to deliver new implementations, configuration, and development of improvements and service releases.
  • Maintain an accurate project schedule with breakthroughs and contingency buffers.
  • Identify project results and supervise them through to acceptance by the customer.
  • Ensure risks are identified and recorded with mitigating actions agreed.
  • Supervise the forecasted and actual hours/budget for a project delivery, manage any deviations, and supervise progress and tracking based on budget constraints.
  • Control meetings by setting out clear agendas and maintaining records of decisions and action points.
  • Request resources and maintain resource timelines, update forecasting against allocations.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years in a Technology & Project Management role.
  • Experience in Financial Services, e.g., Fintech provider, exchange, bank, broker, or financial institution.
  • Experience managing technology projects consisting of infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  • Broad knowledge of capital markets and trading systems.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer-facing/engagement skills.
  • Establish relationships that develop trust and encourage confidence.
  • A highly collaborative working style.
  • Education Required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, business administration, or related subject area with proven project management delivery.
