As a Surgical Technologist at AdventHealth, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical suites. You will work closely with our surgical team to prepare and maintain a safe and efficient environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the surgical team in preparing and maintaining the operating room, including setting up and inventorying sterile equipment and supplies.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses as needed during procedures.
- Assist in preparing and moving patients, as well as sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment, and rooms.
- Use the physician preference card to identify supplies and equipment needed for procedures and update the card as necessary.
- Prepare solutions and medications used during procedures, properly labeling and reporting amounts used for charting.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of an approved Surgical Technician program
- Basic computer skills and one year of experience in a surgical setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification
- Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado
