Apheresis Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Apheresis Nurse to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As an Apheresis Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of therapeutic apheresis treatments.

• Provide direct patient care in multiple apheresis modalities, including therapeutic plasma exchange, RBC exchange and depletion, WBC and PLT depletions, PBSC and WBC collections, Photopheresis, and LDL apheresis.
• Assess patients' responses to therapeutic apheresis and make appropriate adjustments and modifications to the treatment plan as indicated by the physician.
• Implement, administer, monitor, and document patient's response to prescribed treatment modality, including notification of adverse reactions to physician and blood supplier.
• Deliver safe, effective care in a timely and efficient manner, reporting all new or unusual incidents, information, complaints, or problems to the applicable Apheresis Managers and/or hospital personnel.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.) or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing Science.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• One year of RN experience required, with one-year of Apheresis or ICU/CCU/ED experience preferred.
• Demonstrated strong assessment skills related to the critically ill patient.
• Successful completion of competency training course in theory and practice of Therapeutic Apheresis and related procedures.
• BLS CPR Recognition, with ACLS CPR Recognition preferred.
