Position Overview:
The Field Service Engineering Intern is responsible for delivering on-site technical assistance for designated CLAAS machinery.

This role involves providing technical and service support for assigned CLAAS equipment at dealer locations, customer sites, or in the field. The intern will investigate issues and effectively determine solutions.

Required repairs to assigned CLAAS machinery will be performed as necessary.
This position also entails conducting designated field testing activities as needed.
Assistance with the completion of Product Improvement Programs and Campaigns will be provided as requested.

Visits to dealers and customers will be scheduled based on the technical requirements set forth by the Field Support and Warranty Manager.

Regular reporting of customer and dealer visits, along with territory activities, will be expected on a weekly basis.
Daily reporting of results and variances is required, along with proposing necessary actions and collaborating closely with the Field Support and Warranty Manager.
Compliance with established company values, practices, policies, and procedures is mandatory at all times. Adherence to all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards is essential. Regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location is expected.

Important Note:

This role involves significant travel – anticipate 80% - 100% travel; a valid driver's license and passport are required. Extended stays of 1-4 weeks may be necessary to support regional harvest activities.

During these periods, it is likely that 3 weekends away from home at a time will occur.

Candidate Profile:


The ideal candidate is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with a focus in a technical field or possesses equivalent experience, preferably with an agricultural emphasis.

A background in agricultural equipment, including experience in operation, maintenance, and repair, is preferred.
The ability to assess agricultural equipment performance issues and swiftly identify solutions is crucial.
Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities, are essential.

Proficiency in computer applications within MS Windows, including but not limited to Outlook and Microsoft Office, is required, along with a willingness to learn additional programs as necessary.

The candidate must be capable of meeting deadlines and managing a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
