Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee scale operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Assess commercial vehicles at weigh stations for adherence to regulations.
- Clarify regulations and assist drivers who may have questions or language barriers.
- Issue citations and accurately calculate associated fees.
- Prepare detailed reports and provide expert testimony in legal proceedings regarding contested citations.
- Deliver technical training on laws and regulations related to vehicle safety, size, weight, and registration.
- Monitor bypass routes to identify unauthorized vehicle movements.
- Work flexible hours to ensure 24/7 coverage, including travel across the state.
- Perform duties in various weather conditions, requiring physical capability to lift and move equipment.
