Position Title: Sales Support Supervisor

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Sales Support Supervisor plays a pivotal role in assisting the Store Sales Manager in enhancing sales performance, executing operational tasks, and ensuring outstanding customer service is consistently provided.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Sales & Financial Outcomes
    • Support the Store Sales Manager in meeting sales targets and objectives.
    • Conduct Manager on Duty (MOD) shifts as scheduled to oversee and motivate the team.
    • Encourage active participation in sales initiatives (customer engagement, sales competitions, product knowledge enhancement, etc.).
    • Monitor staffing levels on a daily and weekly basis, making adjustments as necessary to align with business needs.
    • Stay informed about Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the store, understanding their impact on daily and weekly operations.
  • Customer Engagement
    • Deliver exceptional customer service by interacting with every customer, equipping yourself with relevant product knowledge, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues effectively.
    • Train and guide the team to provide the expected level of customer service to drive sales performance.
    • Handle customer complaints professionally, striving for prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
    • Follow up on customer concerns and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Team Development
    • Assist in holding team members accountable for performance expectations, particularly during Manager on Duty shifts.
    • Inspire and motivate the team to achieve sales goals, deliver excellent customer service, and support company initiatives.
    • Adjust team priorities to align with goals and company/store objectives.
    • Provide immediate coaching to team members to correct actions or offer training.
    • Communicate employee concerns to the appropriate leadership promptly.
  • Talent Acquisition
    • Engage actively in store staffing through recruitment and interviewing processes.
    • Conduct orientation and training for new team members as required.
    • Understand company expectations for performance management and utilize resources effectively.
    • Appropriately coach and address associate performance through established processes.
  • Product Expertise & Visual Presentation
    • Stay updated on key sales drivers (top styles, popular items, new products, etc.) and know where to find resources for personal use and team training.
    • Train team members on product features and effective selling techniques.
    • Ensure merchandise is displayed according to visual merchandising standards and company guidelines.
  • General Leadership Responsibilities
    • Promote workplace safety among the team, including safe working practices and knowledge of emergency procedures.
    • Perform opening and closing procedures, ensuring accurate financial transactions and maintaining a secure environment.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and timekeeping requirements.
Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Demonstrated motivation and delegation skills with a proven ability to hold team members accountable.
  • Confident, proactive, and willing to tackle workplace challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt priorities as necessary to keep the team focused on business needs.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey important information clearly and effectively.
  • Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities, particularly in customer service situations.
  • Ability to interpret key reports and learn the company POS system through standard training.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
