Key Responsibilities

The Sanitation Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the plant, including the removal of waste from production areas and maintaining recycling protocols.
  • Assisting in the cleanup of spills and supporting production operations as needed.
  • Executing sanitation tasks as outlined in the Master Sanitation Cleaning Schedule and completing corrective actions from audits.
  • Collaborating with production teams for end-of-week cleaning processes, including cleaning and testing of equipment.
  • Performing detailed cleaning of machinery and ensuring accurate documentation of cleaning activities.
  • Training new employees on sanitation procedures once adequately trained.
  • Monitoring chemical inventories and ensuring proper labeling and storage of cleaning agents.
  • Maintaining hand hygiene supplies throughout the facility.
  • Tasting products as required for quality assurance.
Qualifications

Minimum Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to lab-related responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Three months of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the food and beverage industry or a GMP environment.
  • Familiarity with industrial cleaning chemicals and basic housekeeping practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor others.
  • Integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
