About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of accounting tasks, from collections and reconciliations to financial reporting and general ledger management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
  • Review and improve current accounting systems, making use of new technology and systems to automate processes.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for managerial review.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, including accruals and income statement reviews.
  • Manage fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and manage all tax compliance requirements as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 2-5+ years of solid accounting experience, preferably in the engineering industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience with collections, reconciliations, accruals, general ledger, income statement, year-end close, and fixed assets.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees and external vendors.
