As a Product Development Engineer at Westlake, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that drive innovation and growth in the extruded PVC building materials market. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new product designs and manufacturing processes to improve product performance, cost efficiency, and reduce scrap.
  • Collaborate with high-function sales and marketing teams to develop sound science-based principles.
  • Interface with internal and external customers and stakeholders to strategically plan and develop new products.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to stay up-to-date on new machinery and raw materials.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited university in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or Plastics Engineering. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of functional and hands-on product design and development experience is required, with demonstrated expertise in bringing new products from concept to commercialization.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative working relationships across a diverse organization.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Westlake offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
