Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Histotechnologist to join our team at Staff Icons.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Perform histology procedures and processes, including immunohistochemistry, according to established protocols.
* Maintain a good working knowledge of the technical and instrumental aspects of the department.
* Collaborate with the supervisor to organize workflow and staffing assignments to ensure work is completed in a reasonable timeframe.
* Ensure staff is adequately trained and cross-trained when needed.
* Maximize productivity by providing input to the supervisor and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
* Perform quality control, equipment maintenance, and instrument calibration as defined.
* Write, review, and update procedure manuals to maintain regulatory compliance.
* Assume responsibility for workflow processes and ensure the continuance of smooth operations in the absence of the supervisor.

**Qualifications:**

* Baccalaureate Degree in biological or chemical science from an accredited college or university.
* ASCP Certification (HT or HTL)
* At least 1 year of experience
* Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
