Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Specialist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, monitoring patient drug therapies, and providing expert clinical guidance to ensure safe and effective treatment plans.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree and hospital experience is preferred. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, supervising pharmacy support personnel, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Medication Management: Prepare and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Clinical Guidance: Provide expert clinical guidance to patients and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective treatment plans.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Education/Skills: Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required, hospital experience preferred.
  • Licenses/Registrations/Certifications: Pharmacy registration in the State of practice, must have pharmacy State licensure within 60 days of start date, BLS or ACLS and PALS (pediatric practice) within 180 days of start date.
