Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and follow medication protocols.
  • Start, maintain, and discontinue IV lines.
  • Triage patient problems, questions, and concerns to the appropriate area.
  • Communicate, review, and record all laboratory results.
  • Maintain factual and thorough health care records.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including oocyte retrievals, cyst aspirations, dilatation and curettage, laparoscopic and hysteroscopy surgeries, epididymal aspirations, HSG, and selective catheterization.
  • Monitor recovery for post-op patients.
  • Participate in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of technical training.
  • Must be a graduate of an approved registered nursing program.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
