Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Procedures: Position patients and perform CT imaging procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Quality Control: Analyze scan results, identify quality issues, and take corrective action to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
  • Contrast Media Administration: Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting/responding to changes in status as necessary.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implement safety standards and quality control procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree or certification from a technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiography Certification and Registration (R) or equivalent.
  • CT Certification: Computed Tomography (CT) Certification is required within 18 months of hire.
  • CPR and Background Clearances: Current CPR certification and Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Prior experience working as a CT Technologist.
