Job Overview

Halo Industries, Inc. is seeking a senior process engineer to develop and maintain wafer fabrication processes, with a focus on edge shaping.

This role will involve determining process recipes, tool operating conditions, and responding to customer feedback to improve quality and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of semiconductor processing tools, metrology, and statistical process control.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and optimizing wafer fabrication processes, including edge shaping
  • Collaborating with the production team to troubleshoot and maintain equipment
  • Working with vendors to stay up-to-date on industry best practices
  • Conducting experiments to optimize process performance, cost, and throughput
  • Analyzing production data to monitor and improve wafer defectivity and geometry

Requirements:

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • MS or PhD in engineering, science, or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent understanding of physical processes and metrology
  • Experience operating complex production or laboratory equipment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Direct experience with wafer edge grinding equipment
  • Strong programming and data analysis skills
  • Experience with statistical process control and design-of-experiment methodology
