Job Summary

Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). As a key member of our team, you will provide direct clinical services to clients, including intake, assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform triage of referrals, intakes, client assessments, and diagnostic interviews
  • Conduct mental health and substance use disorder assessments and monitor level of functioning
  • Manage all clinical needs of CSU clients on assigned shift
  • Assist clients in identifying self-determined goals and jointly prepare individualized service plans
  • Develop and facilitate psycho-educational groups, provide individual, family, and group counseling, and implement treatment plans
  • Coordinate case management services, link clients to community resources and medical services, and interface with other service providers and client support systems
  • Provide crisis intervention and prevention services to individuals and families
  • Document and chart information about client assessment, individual service plans, progress notes, crisis education prevention plan, discharge summaries, and other client-related data
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or related field from an accredited college
  • At least one year of experience working with the seriously mentally ill
  • Two years' experience working with dually diagnosed clients
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Excellent customer service skills
