Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Developmental Math courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and the ability to create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Developmental Math courses at a variety of times and locations
- Create and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress and provide feedback in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve student outcomes and program effectiveness
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field
- Minimum of 12 undergraduate hours in mathematics or statistics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and the community
The work is sedentary, with minimal exposure to safety hazards. The employee will be required to sit comfortably to do the work, with some walking, standing, and carrying of light items.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is $53.82 per contact hour. Lone Star College offers a comprehensive benefits package, including tuition waiver, participation in a tax-deferred retirement plan, and professional development opportunities.
