Full-Time Healthcare Support Specialist

ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers is actively looking for reliable and adaptable Healthcare Support Specialists to become part of our dedicated medical team. Our facilities operate every day of the week from 9am to 9pm. Full-time staff members are scheduled for three shifts weekly in their assigned areas. Flexibility, including availability on weekends and holidays, is essential. Candidates must be prepared to work at any ExpressCare location as required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Recording patient details in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Taking and documenting vital signs
  • Performing quick laboratory tests
  • Accurately entering lab results into the EMR
  • Administering vaccinations
  • Conducting electrocardiograms (EKGs)
  • Applying orthopedic devices
  • Assisting healthcare providers during medical procedures
  • Performing blood draws
  • Preparing and gathering specimens for laboratory analysis
  • Following established protocols and procedures
  • Participating in scheduled staff meetings
  • Completing assigned tasks and checklists during shifts

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with an externship
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is preferred
  • At least one year of clinical experience is preferred
  • Current CPR Certification is required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work shifts exceeding 12 hours
  • Capability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Reliable transportation for travel purposes

This is a Full-Time role with rotating weekend shifts. All centers operate every day of the week.
