We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Resource Special Education Teacher to join our team for the full school year. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of special education experience and a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Adapt and modify curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Provide a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
- Use various teaching methods to promote student engagement and learning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on student progress and performance.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and progress.

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- State certification in Special Education.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Experience with IEP development and implementation.
SPED Certifications:
- Dexter Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Special Education.
- Specific endorsements may include Learning Disabilities (LD), Emotional Impairment (EI), Cognitive Impairment (CI), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and others as required.
- Completion of all necessary continuing education requirements to maintain certification.
