We are seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team near Addison, IL.
This role provides an opportunity to work with students with diverse learning needs in a supportive and inclusive environment. With a minimum of 1+ years of special education experience required, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' specific needs.
You will adapt and modify curriculum to accommodate students with various learning styles and abilities, while collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a well-rounded educational experience.
Responsibilities include monitoring and assessing student progress, making adjustments to instructional methods as needed, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic, social, and emotional growth.
The ideal candidate will possess a valid Illinois Teaching Certification with a Special Education endorsement, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field, and strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
A passion for working with students with diverse learning needs is essential, as is the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize student needs. Additionally, opportunities exist for increased pay with specialized certifications or relevant experience, and bilingual candidates may receive extra consideration.
