Key Responsibilities

* Analyze lending applications, financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess the borrower's creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
* Monitor the performance of approved lending, identifying potential risks and early warning signs of delinquency.
* Evaluate the risk profile of each application considering factors like industry trends, borrower financials, collateral, and market conditions.
* Provide independent credit decisions on lending applications, adhering to established credit policies, risk parameters, and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and implement appropriate courses of action for troubled lending, including workout plans, restructuring, or collections.

Assistant Vice President Expectations

* Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
* Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
* Collaborate with other areas of work, for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
* Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources, to solve problems creatively and effectively.
* Communicate complex information, including sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.

Requirements

* Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is highly preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the credit risk management process and regulatory requirements.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
