We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Occupational Risk. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in safety management, risk assessment, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to prevent and reduce incidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards.
- Conduct safety assessments and root cause analyses to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with multiple disciplines to implement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Communicate risk-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff, ensuring a culture of safety and compliance.
- Develop and implement written safety plans, ensuring they are effective and up-to-date.
- Travel throughout San Francisco, Marin, and San Mateo Counties to conduct site visits and assessments.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Two (2) years of professional work experience in a related field.
- Experience working with and knowledge of local, state, and federal safety rules and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information to non-technical staff.
- Proficient with Office 365.
- Ability to make sound business judgments promptly and demonstrated experience with prioritizing under time pressures.
- Master's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Insurance or OSHA experience, training, certifications.
