We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Occupational Risk. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in safety management, risk assessment, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to prevent and reduce incidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards.
  • Conduct safety assessments and root cause analyses to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines to implement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Communicate risk-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff, ensuring a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Develop and implement written safety plans, ensuring they are effective and up-to-date.
  • Travel throughout San Francisco, Marin, and San Mateo Counties to conduct site visits and assessments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Two (2) years of professional work experience in a related field.
  • Experience working with and knowledge of local, state, and federal safety rules and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to non-technical staff.
  • Proficient with Office 365.
  • Ability to make sound business judgments promptly and demonstrated experience with prioritizing under time pressures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Insurance or OSHA experience, training, certifications.
