Job Title: RN Open Heart- CVOR

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Laredo Medical Center's Surgery Department. As a CVOR Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in our thriving department.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in cardiovascular operating room settings. You will be responsible for evaluating patients, planning and implementing nursing care, and assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
  • Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited NLN-approved RN program.
  • Internship or 3 months experience as an RN.
  • Licensed as a R.N. by the Texas State Board of Registered Nurse Examiners.
  • CPR, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Surgery experience as an RN, LPN, or Nurse Tech.
