About the Job

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with diverse exceptionalities and their families.

You will work in various settings, including clients' homes, schools, and community environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related exceptionalities.
  • Implement behavior plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
  • Collect and display data in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in updating client programs as instructed by BCBAs.
  • Implement behavioral procedures for inappropriate child behaviors as outlined in client programs.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Notify management of emergencies, suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation, and changes in client status in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Attend appointments, meetings, and trainings on schedule.
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner and treat all clients, colleagues, and others with dignity and respect.
  • Follow clinical and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • High School Diploma or working towards a Bachelor's degree in special education, early childhood education, speech/language disorders, psychology, or a related field.
  • Satisfactory completion of a 40-hour RBT certification course from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working with children with ASD or related exceptionalities is preferred.
  • Proficient communication in English is required; bilingualism in Spanish or Portuguese/English is preferred.
  • Dependability and a passion for helping children and adolescents are essential.
  • A valid driver's license and car insurance are required for occasional travel to appointments.
  • A successful background screening is mandatory.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds may be required.
