Nursing Faculty Job Description

Job Summary:

The Tennessee Board of Regents is seeking a highly qualified Nursing Faculty member to join our team. As a Nursing Faculty member, you will be responsible for delivering instruction in various formats, including online and in-person classes, and evaluating student learning. You will also be responsible for maintaining an environment conducive to learning, preparing courses and laboratories, and participating in curriculum development and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction in a variety of modes, including online and in-person classes, and evaluate student learning.
  • Maintain an environment conducive to learning.
  • Prepare courses and laboratories.
  • Participate in curriculum development and evaluation.
  • Provide academic advising to students.
  • Remain current in the teaching area through professional development activities.
  • Participate in institutional and community activities that support the institution's mission.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • BLS/AHA CPR certification or higher (ACLS/PALS).
  • Tennessee RN License (or immediately eligible).
  • 3 years recent clinical experience serving a diverse population.
  • Masters degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Higher Education experience beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Nursing.

Working Conditions:

Faculty members are expected to be available for day and evening classes and for assignments at any of the institution's centers or sites. Normal sitting and movement in a classroom and the ability to manipulate and move audiovisual equipment both in the classroom and from one location to another.
