Construction Equipment Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Technician to join our team. This role involves the upkeep and repair of a diverse fleet of construction machinery, including diesel-powered equipment, pick-up trucks, trenchers, excavators, backhoes, trailers, loaders, and various other construction-related vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles according to established schedules.
- Create and manage repair orders using a computerized maintenance management system.
- Procure parts, monitor inventory levels, and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Oversee the repair of small tools.
- Document preventive maintenance reports and equipment repair logs accurately.
- Conduct hydraulic and engine repairs.
- Execute air brake repairs.
- Carry out chassis repairs.
- Repair construction-related fleet equipment and vehicles.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Travel to job sites as necessary to perform field repairs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in repairing hydraulic automotive and diesel engines.
- Experience with air brake repairs is preferred; certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with computer diagnostics for brands such as International, Freightliner, and Peterbilt.
- Experience in fabrication, including welding and body repairs.
- Chassis repair expertise.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery.
- Experience with aerial devices is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician is required.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
Overtime may be necessary during peak seasons.
A company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel.
