Job Title: Aerospace Engineer - Structures Design

Virgin Galactic is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer - Structures Design to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative aerospace vehicle structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop aerospace vehicle structures, including aircraft and spacecraft.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide input on design changes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in aerospace engineering.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, with a focus on structures design.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace vehicle design principles, including structural analysis and materials science.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with CAD software, such as CATIA or SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of composite materials and structures.
  • Experience with testing and validation of aerospace vehicle structures.
