Job Title: Registered Nurse

USA Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team. As a Registered Nurse in our PICU, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care to critically ill children and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, including controlled substances, and perform various medical procedures as needed.
  • Monitor and manage patient's vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data to ensure optimal care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and unit efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication administration records and progress notes.
Qualifications:
  • Current Alabama RN license or current Multi-State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama.
  • Experience in pediatric critical care or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Basic life support certification (BLS) and pediatric advanced life support certification (PALS) required.
