Position: Psychiatric Physician Assistant – Residential Withdrawal Management

About Us: Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment. Our new residential treatment facility in Columbus, Ohio, aims to create a supportive environment for individuals seeking recovery.

Objective: The primary goal of this role is to ensure the delivery of exceptional client care within the residential withdrawal management setting, adhering to state and federal regulations, as well as CARF standards. This position involves providing medical care and overseeing nursing and support staff in the treatment of clients undergoing withdrawal from substances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments for substance use disorders and psychiatric conditions upon admission to residential treatment, formulating a medical care plan for each client.
  • Administer medical care throughout the client's stay, including medication management and medication-assisted treatment for withdrawal symptoms.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their individual needs and recovery goals.
  • Monitor and document client health progress, ensuring effective communication with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute distress.
  • Maintain productive relationships with support networks and community resources.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing and ancillary staff as needed.
  • Stay updated on current evidence-based practices in psychiatry and addiction treatment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Participate in on-call shifts as required.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Ohio physician assistant license.
  • At least one year of experience in addiction and psychiatric care.
  • Familiarity with applicable federal and state clinical practice standards.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and insurance.
  • Successful completion of BCI check, corporate compliance checks, and employment drug screening.
