Nocturnal General Surgery Position in Central Pennsylvania

We are seeking a dedicated General Surgery Nocturnist to join our esteemed team at Evangelical Community Hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment with experienced medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with skilled physicians and advanced practitioners for initial consultations and follow-up care of both new and established patients.
- Enjoy a 7-on / 7-off schedule, working from 7 PM to 7 AM, focusing exclusively on inpatient care within a modernized hospital setting.
- Engage with Vascular & Wound patients as part of cross-coverage duties, while working alongside Hospitalists, Emergency Medicine, and OB/GYN specialists.
- Take on a comprehensive role that includes a variety of tasks and a high degree of autonomy. Responsibilities will encompass performing procedures such as drain removals, paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tube insertions, I&D, central line placements, and arterial line insertions, as well as responding to codes and rapid responses, conducting consults, assisting in the operating room, and managing surgical inpatients and admissions.
- While surgical experience is preferred, we are open to training the right candidate, including new graduates who are passionate about surgery.
