Key Responsibilities

As a Veterinarian at Banfield, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality patient care and treatment in accordance with state practice act and principles of veterinary medical ethics
  • Leveraging evidence-based medicine and continuing education to deliver quality patient care
  • Partnering with clients as an advocate for the pet to plan follow-up visits, provide home-care instructions, and education to ensure the lifelong health of their pets
  • Maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems
  • Fostering an effective veterinary support team by communicating medical standards, ethical practices, and your veterinary knowledge and experience
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
  • A State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired
  • A State Controlled Substance (SCS) License may be required by the state in which you intend to work
  • Once you obtain your DEA License, Banfield will fully reimburse
