Job Overview:

This full-time position for a Primary Care Nurse (RN) will be shared between two wellness centers. The role involves providing professional nursing expertise in the care and treatment of both pediatric and adult patients in a primary care environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct focused nursing assessments and manage patient intake, including administering vaccines and performing CLIA waived testing.
  • Triaging patient inquiries and delivering nursing interventions aligned with established medical care plans.
  • Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, facilitating the discharge process for patients as needed.
  • Collaborate with clinic supervisors to enhance nursing services and oversee tasks assigned to non-licensed staff.
  • Support the clinic's vaccination initiatives and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
  • Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Engage with community partners through various communication methods.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Foster effective relationships with healthcare providers, staff, and patients.

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted Texas nursing license.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in pediatric and/or adult care.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of experience in an outpatient clinical setting.
  • Fluency in Spanish.

Working Conditions:
  • Typical clinical and office environments.
  • May involve exposure to biohazards.
  • Frequent use of a keyboard and manual dexterity required.
