Research and Development TeamThe Research and Development team at Labcorp designs and develops new molecular assays, evaluates novel technologies, and provides technical expertise to other departments. Internship OpportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Research and Development team as a Research and Development Molecular Intern. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that complement your education in biological sciences or related fields.
Responsibilities- Work under the guidance of a senior scientist on a project pertinent to clinical molecular testing
- Clearly and regularly document all experiments in detail in a laboratory notebook
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and data discussions
- Present accomplishments to scientists from various disciplines and to senior management at the end of the program
- Engage in professional development workshops
- Working towards a bachelor's degree in a biological sciences or related field; preferably a rising Junior or Senior
- Completed at least a year of biological or related sciences courses including hands-on laboratory courses with a B or better grade
- Results-driven, detail-oriented, collaborative, curious, and eager to learn
