About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Geologist to join our team at S&ME. As a Field Geologist, you will be responsible for providing technical direction and executing subsurface field investigations in support of engineering site assessments, environmental studies, and foundation remediation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee field investigations, including monitoring well installation programs, foundation investigations, and underground utility investigations;
  • Perform soil and rock logging, and prepare professional logs for soil, rock, and monitoring well construction data;
  • Manage drilling and other related contractors according to company guidelines and procedures;
  • Interface with customers, and assist Drilling Services leaders and internal drilling resources to facilitate field investigations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field;
  • 3+ years of experience in a geologic, environmental, engineering, construction, or other geological-related field;
  • Professional Geology license (a plus);
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work with limited supervision;
  • Proficiency in the gINT Boring Log Program and flexible computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
