About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surveillance Operations Specialist to join our team at Plainridge Park Casino. As a Surveillance Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and recording activities within the casino, ensuring the integrity of our operations and maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surveillance Monitoring: Monitor and record activities within the casino, including gaming floor, cash handling areas, and other designated areas.
  • Log and File Activity: Log and file all pertinent activity, including incidents, suspicious behavior, and other notable events.
  • Training and Development: Stay up-to-date on all table games offered at the property, including cheating methods and card counting techniques.
  • Policy and Procedure Adherence: Familiarize yourself with all gaming and cash handling policies, procedures, internal controls, and state regulations.
  • Covert Surveillance: Conduct covert floor surveillance as assigned by supervision.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Surveillance supervisor to record and review questionable activity, and coordinate with the Guest Safety Department in crime prevention activities.
  • Incident Reporting: Prepare daily logs of all pertinent activity and report any incidents or suspicious behavior to the appropriate authorities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of surveillance equipment and digital recording systems; ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions; and ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Physical Demands: Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in various work areas.
