Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Kupper Engineering Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing high-end engineering consulting design, construction, and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering site surveys and analysis
  • Feasibility studies
  • Load studies and energy analysis
  • Computer Aided Drafting
  • Computer-Aided Drafting Quality Control
  • Engineering Quality Control
  • Lead/support product design reviews
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives for projects
  • Great ability to read and interpret short circuit and protective device coordination studies
  • Detailed design of power distribution systems, including but not limited to: Medium voltage protective relaying, Medium voltage substation, Service entrance switchboards, Engine generators, Uninterruptible power supply systems, Monitoring and controls systems, Lighting and lighting control systems, Fire alarm and security systems
  • Develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, and electrical & instrument diagrams (E&IDs)
  • Perform equipment selections, load calculations, control diagrams, systems narratives, commissioning planning and execution, and creating specification documents
  • Utilize basic engineering principles and practical design solutions
  • Assist in the development and review of custom designs and sequences
  • Develop and implement integrated systems testing procedures and commissioning
  • Assist with project management to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Work with Clients, Salesman, Managers, and Engineers to coordinate project designs
  • Work with sub-consultant(s) to coordinate trades
  • Attend job meetings & coordinate activities as required
  • Attend training as requested to further enhance your duties
  • Train and mentor entry and mid-level engineers
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding initiative, a well-organized and strong sense of responsibility
  • Excellent computer knowledge and advanced skills using CAD and Microsoft Word and Excel are required
Education & Experience
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Hold a current, active PE license in Pennsylvania
  • Licensure in the additional state(s) is an advantage
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Experience with REVIT is an advantage.
