Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management
    • Transport crew members safely to and from job sites.
    • Ensure that necessary tools and equipment are loaded onto vehicles prior to departure.
    • Manage the loading and unloading of vehicles and trailers in the morning and evening.
    • Supervise the work of technicians on-site and delegate tasks to ensure proper safety, quality, and productivity.
    • Oversee all work tickets and ensure completion in accordance with the schedule.
    • Inspect completed work tickets for quality to minimize the need for return visits and re-work due to poor quality or client satisfaction issues.
    • Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe manner, including compliance with government and company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
    • Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned vehicles, equipment, job sites, and shop/yard areas.
    • Submit accurate and completed work order documents to operations leadership at the end of each workday.
    • Read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings to delegate work activities as necessary.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work site, including proper maintenance and care of all company equipment.
  • Team Management
    • Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
    • Communicate with operations leadership regarding crew members, including both positive and negative feedback.
    • Oversee employee training and development.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Requirements
    • Education, Knowledge, and Experience
      • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in the landscape industry.
      • Minimum of 1+ years of leadership experience preferred.
    • Skills and Qualifications
      • Valid and insurable driver's license/record required.
      • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks.
      • Knowledge of all phases of landscaping projects.
      • Ability to lead, develop, and mentor crew members.
      • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
      • Attention to detail in all responsibilities and duties.

        • Outdoor conditions.
        • Extended work hours during peak seasons.
        • Requires substantial physical activity performing strenuous activities of a productive and technical nature; regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions of extreme heat and extreme cold; consistent exposure to loud noise; potential exposure to air pollution, allergens, dust, pollen, insects, and other potentially harmful naturally occurring hazards; continuous exposure to moving mechanical parts and sharp objects.
