Insulation Craftsman

Marquis Construction Services is seeking a skilled Insulation Craftsman / Metal Men to join our team. As an Insulation Craftsman / Metal Men, you will be responsible for applying insulation materials to pipes or ductwork to help control and maintain temperatures.

• Apply insulation materials to pipes or ductwork to ensure temperature control and safety.
• Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific surfaces and shapes.
• Determine the type and amount of insulation needed based on location, surface shape, and equipment use.
• Install sheet metal around insulated pipes to protect insulation from weather conditions and physical damage.
• Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems.
• Work with other crew members to accomplish tasks and ensure a safe working environment.
• Effectively communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates to ensure smooth project execution.
• Responsible for cleaning work areas and removing debris and materials.

The work environment for this position will involve working around moving mechanical parts, in high precarious places, and exposed to various weather conditions. You will also be working around different types of chemicals and in high noise areas.

This position requires standing for long periods, ability to feel and reach with hands and arms, and ability to stand, walk, climb, or balance. You must also be able to regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and have specific vision abilities required for the job.

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Ability to pass Hair Follicle Testing.
• Acceptable Background.
• Successfully complete Marquis and Site Safety Training.
• At least two (2) years of previous insulation experience in a chemical plant environment.
• Must be willing to work overtime.
