Tower Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tower Technician to join our team at UtilitiesOne in the Pacific Northwest region. As a Tower Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and troubleshooting tower components, as well as performing maintenance and upgrades on existing tower sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Climb heights on various towers to perform maintenance and upgrades
  • Install, test, and troubleshoot tower components such as PIM, Sweep, antennas, microwave alignment, fiber, etc.
  • Coordinate with other technicians to install new equipment or repair existing equipment
  • Lift equipment into position using cranes or proper rigging tools and equipment
  • Inspect towers, masts, and other structures to identify potential structural problems
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform tasks
  • Follow all safety policies and use proper PPE for each task
Requirements:
  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a Tower Technician
  • A valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Ready to travel for work within the market
  • Capable of performing tower and civil work
  • Competent climber/competent rescuer trained
  • Safety certificates such as OSHA10/30, Climb trained, Rescue trained, FACPR, Bloodborne pathogens, HazCom, RF, NWSA TT (preferred)
