Project Consultant - Air Permitting

Braun Intertec is seeking a highly skilled Project Consultant with extensive experience in air permitting and compliance to join our environmental Air Practice Group within the Compliance and Permitting team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support clients with their air compliance and permitting needs
  • Act as a technical and project lead on air permitting and compliance projects, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with senior staff as needed
  • Maintain client relationships through excellent project work and responsive communication
  • Delegate tasks and mentor staff
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and project teams
  • Manage projects independently
  • Stay current with technical and project management skills
Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of air permitting in areas such as NSR, Title V, PSD, GHG Reporting and Planning, BACT, NNSR, etc.
  • Ability to advocate on behalf of the client
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to solve problems and drive projects to completion
  • Understanding of air permitting and compliance issues for multiple industries
  • Ability to read and interpret regulations and perform applicability determinations
  • Proficiency in air emission calculations, regulatory assessments, and technical writing
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to the needs of the audience
Required Experience:
  • BS degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of environmental experience in air permitting and compliance
  • Proven safety culture
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
