Position Details:

  • Contract Type: Locum Tenens
  • Role: Surgical First Assist
  • Preferred Schedule: Flexible
  • Shift Options: 7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work Assignment: Assist in general, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
  • Outpatient Responsibilities: None
  • Patient Load: Manage 3-15 patient encounters daily
  • Patient Types: Includes pain management, eye care, general surgery, plastic surgery, orthopedic, thoracic, urology, and neurology cases
  • Board Certification: Must possess current board certification
  • Trauma Center Status: Not affiliated with a trauma center
  • Electronic Medical Records: Utilize Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager

Candidate Requirements:

  • Licensure: Valid New Jersey State License & Unrestricted DEA Registration
  • Certifications: AANP or ANCC Certified Nurse Practitioner
  • Additional Credentials: BLS and ACLS Certification required
  • Experience: 1-2 years of recent experience in a First Assist capacity
