Clinical Coordinator Hematology/Oncology Full Time Nights

Children's Hospital of Michigan is a world-renowned pediatric and adolescent medicine leader. Our surgical services include general, thoracic, reconstructive, and cardiovascular procedures. We utilize advanced imaging technology designed specifically for children, providing diagnostic services such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and MRI. Our Emergency Department is a verified Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and dedicated pediatric burn center. Our team of experts in pediatric critical care, rehabilitation, and neonatal and perinatal medicine provides care for thousands of children every year at Children's Hospital of Michigan, Children's Hospital of Michigan - Troy, and six ambulatory sites.
Key Responsibilities- Assume shift responsibilities for the care delivery team, coordinating the provision of care through assigning and scheduling staff, prioritizing, delegating, and evaluating patient care.
- Assist in evaluating patient care provided by nursing staff, participating in Process Improvement activities, and working with the interdisciplinary team to problem-solve system and unit-based issues.
- Provide input into nursing staff performance appraisals, assist with Staff Educational requirements as needed, and participate in activities pertinent to the unit and hospital.
- Supplement staffing under the direction of the Administrative Director and/or Clinical Manager, taking an abbreviated patient care assignment to ensure leadership responsibilities are fulfilled.
- Associate's Degree/Diploma required; BSN preferred.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of Michigan.
- One to two years of progressively more responsible experience with evidence of increasing leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, delegate to others, and facilitate processes.
- Minimum Level 6 of the Promoting Excellence Performance Criteria, if an internal candidate, preferred.
- BLS required; ACLS preferred.
