As a Registered Nurse, you will be accountable for the nursing care provided to your assigned patients and will oversee the activities of other staff involved in patient care. Your approach will be centered on the needs of the patient, particularly focusing on adult and geriatric populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a patient-centered approach to comprehensive nursing care.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital staff, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness.
- Employ the six steps of the nursing process to ensure optimal patient care and recognize the critical role you play in their treatment.
As a prospective candidate, you will utilize your nursing education and experience to provide exceptional care to Geriatric Psychiatric patients. You will adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols in your nursing processes.
- Assist in the daily operations of the Geriatric Psychiatric Unit.
- Work in conjunction with the Emergency Department and Med/Surg Unit to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- A valid Alabama RN License is mandatory.
- BLS certification is required within 30 days of employment.
- ACLS certification is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while exercising sound judgment.
- A professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills are essential.
