Festival Foods is seeking a highly skilled Bakery Evening Supervisor to lead our evening team and ensure our Bakery department provides exceptional service to our guests. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting our evening Bakery associates, training and guiding new team members, maintaining excellence in our department, delivering outstanding service to our guests, ensuring quality and safety, honoring commitments, and supporting the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Support: Perform tasks assigned by the Bakery Manager, lead the Bakery department in the absence of the Bakery Manager, and assist with important tasks and provide effective leadership.
  • Train and Guide: Onboard new evening Bakery clerks and cleaners, provide them with the training and support they need to succeed, answer associate questions, and provide guidance.
  • Maintain Excellence: Ensure all department standards are met by monitoring the sales floor, prep area, back room, cooler, and freezer conditions, and take action to address any areas of opportunity.
  • Deliver Outstanding Service: Assist guests in finding items, take cake and special orders, and provide excellent service, handle phone inquiries with professionalism, and help your team with packaging, labeling, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
  • Ensure Quality and Safety: Keep supplies replenished, maintain food safety logs, and meet quality standards, including quantity expectations by 10 am and 5 pm.
  • Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
  • Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide outstanding customer service and work effectively with guests and team members.
  • Communication Skills: Oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Food Service Expertise: Knowledge of retail food service, bakery and pastry operations, with a strong understanding of food service standards and practices.
  • Safety and Efficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of safety requirements and the ability to apply on-the-job safety training and safety policies to handle equipment and recognize and react potential hazards effectively.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.   • Stand in place for a long period of time, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly (70% of the time).
