Job Title: Youth Care Specialist II

At Children's Attention Home Inc, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our residential services team, you will play a vital role in providing nurturing care and life-changing services to youth and families in need.

Job Summary:

The Youth Care Specialist II is responsible for guiding and supervising daily living activities of residents, maintaining a positive and supportive home atmosphere, and serving as the primary team member for medication administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication and complete documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Reorder medications to ensure ongoing availability.
  • Ensure the return of discontinued medications and proper handoff of medication upon discharge.
  • Administer over-the-counter medication and first aid as needed.
  • Serve as the contact person for offsite groups and activities.
  • Manage volunteers involved in direct care and residential functions.
  • Attend doctor's appointments and mental health assessments with residents, when possible.
  • Supervise, provide care, and assist with daily living activities of all residents.
  • Maintain a daily behavior modification program for each resident.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support for each resident.
  • Accompany residents on appointments, activities, or outings.
  • Transport, supervise, and assist with services such as tutoring, recreational activities, and health care provision.
  • Participate in educational, recreational, and cultural activities for residents.
  • Supervise residents and provide assistance during study or homework time.
  • Complete documentation of residential services provided, including forms, logs, and reports.
  • Perform domestic tasks, including housekeeping, cleaning, laundry services, and meal preparation.
  • Ensure a safe environment in accordance with agency, local, state, and federal standards and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Preference will be given to those with more extensive educational qualifications and/or additional work experience in a related area.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
Working Conditions:

The Youth Care Specialist II must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment, including a computer, telephone, etc. The position requires standing, walking, and frequent use of hands, bending, and squatting.
