Rivian is an innovative company dedicated to making the world more adventurous. We're currently seeking a highly skilled Sr. Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join our Platform Architecture team.

In this pivotal role, you'll develop the infrastructure necessary for efficient performance and execution of state-of-the-art machine learning models in ADAS systems on SoC. You'll collaborate closely with Software, Hardware, System, and SoC groups to understand workloads, enable running workloads on HW, and help define future enhancements to hardware and models.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking various versions of ADAS perception models (development, production, prototype) and mapping them to SoC
  • Creating or improving existing QAT infrastructure
  • Quantizing models to different data precisions while preserving original FP32 accuracy
  • Compressing models using structured sparsity schemes

To excel in this position, you'll need:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field
  • Expertise in one of the following areas: Quantization of Neural Networks, Sparsity of Neural Networks, Training of Neural Networks
  • Experience with ADAS-specific workloads and exposure to Transformers and LLMs
  • Demonstrated proficiency in C++, Python, Numpy, and Pytorch framework

We offer a competitive compensation range of $206,500 to $258,100 per year for California-based candidates, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
