Fuel Center Lead Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Fuel Center Lead Clerk to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our fuel operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a safe and clean environment, and achieving sales and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment, including the fuel center, kiosks, and surrounding areas.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, including fuel, merchandise, and lottery sales.
  • Process transactions quickly and accurately, including fuel, merchandise, and lottery sales.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures for the fuel center, including maintaining the till and performing cashier functions.
  • Comply with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions to management.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions and notifying store management.
  • Complete incident and security reports, as well as maintain state, local, and company compliance reports and logs.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
  • Stock and inventory merchandise in kiosks, and clean and maintain kiosk and equipment as well as fuel dispensers, vending machines, trash receptacles, customer surfaces, and parking area outside the kiosk.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills and ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Any fuel experience a plus.
